Innovation in the EV supply chain is playing a vital role in delivering a lower cost of EV ownership and maintaining momentum in the transition to net zero road transport. The ‘Exploring the EV Ecosystem’ session at the BVRLA’s Fleets in Charge Conference will bust myths and look ahead to the next innovations coming to the sector.

The questions the panel will look to answer include:
- Are we too focused on the cost of EVs and electricity? Do we need a better understanding of the ways in which charging, operating, maintaining, and repairing EVs can deliver an attractive TCO?
- There are many stories circulating about EV pain points – which are myths, and which are real?
- What exciting new innovations do you see coming around the corner?
- As a relatively new technology, are there opportunities to gain a competitive advantage through innovation or being a first mover?
- EVs are also connected vehicles – what role is data playing in running electrified fleets? Are fleet operators taking full advantage yet?
- There is much comparison between home and depot-based EV fleets – does either model have a clear advantage or is one more advanced in terms of developing its operational methods?
