Members are asked to keep an eye out for their 2024 BVRLA subscription invoices, which are currently being issued, to cover the membership period 1 January to 31 December 2025.
2024 has been another year of churn and change. This was most keenly demonstrated with the General Election returning a new government, while few foresaw October’s Court of Appeal ruling on motor finance commissions, which sent shockwaves through the sector.
Growing our collective voice of influence and working with members to raise standards and support their operations are critical areas where the BVRLA delivers tangible benefits. Engagement with government, regulators and key stakeholders has only grown this year and will develop further through 2025 to deliver greater value to members and represent their views.
Those programmes will run alongside our active calendar of industry campaigns, support services and member-centric events. In 2024 we secured greater foresight of Benefit in Kind taxation rates for electric vehicles, as well as an additional £120m to support the transition to zero-emission vans. Those campaigns will build in 2025, bolstered by activity addressing the issues that matter most to members such as the used BEV market, vehicle security and fraud prevention, and ESG reporting.
