The first of the BVRLA’s new 2022 series of Technical and Operational Management (TOM) and Residual Value and Remarketing (RVR) Forums will take place online in February and members are invited to sign up now.
Throughout the year, the association gathers industry experts and practitioners from across its membership to encourage discussion and debate, while sharing insights and best practice.
During 2022 there will be three TOM Forums and three RVR Forums, and members can send up to two delegates to either one by paying an annual subscription of £500+VAT. It is intended that Forums later in the year will be held in-person rather than online, Covid restrictions permitting.
Typical topics of discussion at the TOM Forum include:
- Aftermarket trends: tyres, MOTs, network capacity
- Vehicle maintenance and key operational matters
- Electric Vehicles: repairs, maintenance, infrastructure, future product and availability of stock
- Impact of ADAS: safety, repair and calibration
- Impact of in car connectivity: managing technical support and access to data
- Aftermarket skills: how the whole supply chain within our sector is looking to recruit and look to re-train / upskill its current workforce.
The first TOM Forum of 2022 will take place on 3 February.
Typical topics of discussion at the RVR Forum include:
- Market trends: from both rental and leasing, new mobility models, BVRLA in-house policy & research
- Used marketplace: trends and values from the auction houses and trade guides
- Forecasting and RVs: what are the data providers and influencers seeing and predicting for the next six months and beyond
- Political and economic landscape: latest picture of UK economy, business confidence, what impacts supply and demand.
The first RVR Forum of the year will take place on 10 February.
