Benefit-in-Kind tax rates, Vehicle Excise Duty, and other considerations on total cost of ownership will be the focus of the BVRLA’s free Fleets in Charge webinar. ‘Examining the true running costs of EVs’, taking place tomorrow (14 December).
The webinar will begin with Tim Bush of UBS Investment Bank looking at the global picture of resource pressures, policies, and pinch points, examining the impact on EV costs.
Then Jonathan Clay of cap hpi will present the current TCO picture, looking at how EV prices are changing the landscape when it comes to maintenance costs and the impact of new model entrants.
The webinar will conclude with a panel discussion including Charlie Brooks of Epyx, who will give his perspective on TCO, sharing some insights from research Epyx conducted on maintenance and whether it is cheaper for EVs. The panellists also include Dean Hedger of The AA, Ben Edwards of Arval, and Claire Miller of Octopus Electric Vehicles who will explore how energy prices and the cost of living crisis are impacting the uptake of EVs and what innovation firms should be thinking about.
The free 60-minute session will take place on Wednesday 14 December at 9am and anybody, including non-members, can register to attend the live event. Anyone who registers will also receive a copy of the recording afterwards.
