The Office for Low Emission Vehicles has extended the availability of the plug-in car and van grant, which offers up to £4,500 toward the cost of a new electric or hybrid car, and up to £8,000 toward a new low-emission van.
The scheme will be extended until October 2018, six months beyond the original date of April 2018. It has also been confirmed that it will continue in some form until at least 2020.
The Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) which is part of the Department for Transport and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, is a team working across government to support the early market for ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEV).
Further information on plug-in car and van grants can be found on the OLEV website.
