The BVRLA is committed to upholding the highest standards when it comes to data protection & security, and has achieved a number of industry-recognised standards that reflect that commitment.
IASME Gold certification
The BVRLA has received the IASME Gold certification for its Information and IT Security standards. The certification demonstrates to BVRLA members – and anybody else to share data with the Association – that they can rely on their data to be treated in an appropriate manner within an IT environment that is maintained to industry leading standards.
Aligned to the UK Government’s Ten Steps to Cyber Security, IASME Governance includes Cyber Essentials certification and covers the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.
The policies, processes, solutions and checks put into place improve the Association’s level of defence against cyber-attacks and keep the BVRLA ahead of the curve when it comes to security.
Cyber Essentials
Alongside the IASME Gold Certification, the BVRLA holds the Government’s Cyber Essentials accreditation, following an independent assessment of the association’s IT security infrastructure and processes.
The accreditation, awarded by the National Cyber Security Centre’s partner IASME, helps organisations to guard against the most common cyber threats. Committing to these standards demonstrates that the BVRLA is an organisation that takes cyber security matters very seriously and has processes in place to mitigate against potential breaches.
