Next year is set to be one of the most challenging yet for many BVRLA members. At the association’s Industry Outlook Conference on 7 December, the BVRLA will give you data, insights and perspectives to help you with your 2023 business strategy.
A highlight of this year's event is the Fleet Technology Spotlight, made up of three expert panels to explore how technology will help companies tackle the challenges of 2023. Topics to be covered in the Spotlight sessions include Customer Service and Digitisation, Smart Charging and Energy Management, and Compliance Technology.
Event partners for the Fleet Technology Spotlight include Coastr, Davis Licence Check, Geotab and Mina. Here, they share their thoughts on the event and its importance to BVRLA members.
Biswajit Kundu Roy, CEO of Coastr:
“The onset of new technologies and mobile apps coupled with changing consumer behaviour and the need for decarbonisation has caused a phenomenal transformation in the shared mobility market which includes, vehicle rental, leasing, and subscription. Consumers now seek flexible products and quick online experiences. It is essential that the mobility sector adapts and becomes future ready. So, how then is the mobility sector embracing digital transformation to stay on par with changing consumer needs while creating new opportunities from data-based insights and connected car technologies to offer digital experiences? Find out at the Customer Service and Digitisation panel.”
Keith Allen, Managing Director, Davis Licence Check:
“My topic, as part of the Compliance Technology panel is ‘Grey Fleet: Challenges, compliance & sustainability’. How green is your grey fleet? What is the impact of your grey fleet? Are you aware you even have grey fleet vehicles? If so, how can you manage the associated risks.
“With the continued fall in company car drivers, the importance of being aware and managing the risk of grey fleet vehicles is becoming a significant challenge.”
Ashley Tate, CEO, Mina:
“Everything we’re doing at Mina points towards our mission of making paying for EV charging radically simple for businesses, which perfectly aligns with the BVRLA’s Industry Outlook Conference and its event purpose.
"One of the biggest challenges businesses face when making the switch to EV, is how to pay for their drivers’ EV charging costs fairly. An often-complex issue that I’m looking forward to talking through, because if businesses can overcome this barrier, their employees will be much happier and uptake should increase, which essentially will further bolster the switch to EV.”
Ashley is taking part in the Smart Charging and Energy Management panel.
The Industry Outlook Conference will take place at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, Warwickshire on Wednesday 7 December. BVRLA SME Members can receive a special discount for the Conference, they should email [email protected] and the team will confirm eligibility and provide the discounted rate.
