John Edwards has joined the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as its new Information Commissioner. In his first 100 days, John is reaching out to a range of key stakeholders to hear different views on data protection.
The ICO has asked the BVRLA to share a video and survey with members: Your views matter.
The ICO has indicated it will soon be writing to newly formed organisations to remind them that they may have a legal responsibility to register with the ICO and pay the data protection fee.

The ICO can support members with data protection matters through its advice line and online resources.
It also has a web hub specifically designed for small and medium enterprises which has lots of tips and simple guides that members may find useful: SME web hub – advice for all small organisations.
