Bath and North East Somerset Council has announced plans to introduce a daily charge for Euro 6 HGVs over 12.5t entering Bath’s Clean Air Zone (CAZ). The proposed charge would be in addition to the existing CAZ charge relating to Euro 5 HGVs.
The consultation is open until Tuesday 7 February with the Council seeking views from all stakeholders. Bath is the first CAZ to propose charges of this nature. The BVRLA has previously contacted the Council to express concerns with the move, highlighting the role of HGVs and current lack of options that are cleaner than Euro 6 vehicles.
